Welcome Message

On behalf of the conference hosts and organizers, we are delighted to welcome you to SARMAC 2027, taking place from 9–12 June 2027 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The biennial meeting of the Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition brings together researchers, students, and practitioners from around the world to share high-quality research, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections between researchers interested in applied memory and cognition.

SARMAC conferences are known for combining an engaging scientific programme with a friendly and informal atmosphere. Across four days, the conference will create opportunities for attendees to discover new research, participate in thoughtful discussions, meet colleagues working across diverse areas of applied memory and cognition, and build relationships within the SARMAC community. We look forward to welcoming and supporting researchers at every stage of their careers—established researchers, early career researchers, and students.

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in the heart of downtown Vancouver which means access to convenient public transport and easy access to restaurants, cultural attractions, and the city’s waterfront. Vancouver’s vibrant and multicultural character will offer attendees plenty to explore throughout their visit when they are not attending conference events. The conference organizers are planning opportunities for attendees to get to know more about Canada and get into the Canadian spirit during their visit.
